In Indore, the district administration is in the process of granting land ownership rights to residents of 29 villages that were brought within the municipal corporation limits in 2014. Those residents who occupy residential land without a lease can now apply for land holding rights. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently directed officials to facilitate this process during a meeting in Indore. Currently, landowners in these villages face challenges in selling their houses or securing loans due to the lack of proper documentation. By following the guidelines issued by the Revenue Department on September 24, 2020, residents can apply for a 30-year lease that will enable them to easily access loans and transfer or sell their property. Camps will be organized at tehsil offices in various locations on September 29, 2024, to receive applications, and eligible beneficiaries will be granted leases after verification. SDM Rau Vinod Rathore shared that online applications will be accepted during the camps, with applicants required to bring specific documents for verification.
